Ingredients for Making the Rigatoni Campagnolo
Rigatoni Campagnolo pasta can be made at home with some major ingredients that you can get at your local stores. Get all the ingredients and then start the recipe and have fun during the process.
- Kosher salt to taste
- 4 links of spicy Italian sausage
- ½ lb rigatoni cooked al dente
- ½ tablespoon of Italian seasonings
- 6 garlic cloves thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons of balsamic glaze
- 1 large red onion, sliced
- 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoon basil Juilienned
- 1 (28-oz) can of crushed tomatoes
- 4 Oz Goat cheese, thinly sliced
- Freshly cracked pepper
Instructions to Make the Delicious Rigatoni Campagnolo
For making the Rigatoni Campagnolo at home, you need to add all the spices one by one to your vegetable mixture. Then add the cooked pasta into it to complete your dish. You can also give a good bake to the pasta if you like for better flavor and texture.
Cooking the Pasta
First of all, you have to cook the pasta properly. Follow all the instructions written on the package. Reserve one cup of pasta water while draining the rest.
Preparing the Mixture
Put a large-sized cooking pot on the stovetop and cook Italian sausage in the pot. Make sure to break the crumbles in it. Bring the sliced veggies including the onions and peppers and put them into the pot.
Addition of Seasonings
First of all, add the garlic to the pot along with the Italian seasonings. Add some red pepper flakes at the same time. Stir well to combine and simmer for a few minutes. Bring the balsamic vinegar and pour it into the mixture.
Pour the can of crushed tomatoes into the cooking pot and also add water to it. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally for better results. Sprinkle in some more salt and pepper if needed after testing.
Addition of Pasta
Bring the cooked Parmigiano pasta and add it to the cooking pot. Bring the pasta water and pour it into the cooking pot.
Serving the Dish
Transfer the cooked pasta to the cooking pot and garnish it with fresh basil and sliced goat cheese. Serve after air cooling for a few minutes.
