Fill a large-sized pot with vegetable oil for frying. Keep the flame low and heat the oil.

Then you should bring the onion rings out of the ice-cold water and then use paper towels to dry these onions. The paper towels will absorb all the extra moisture from the onions.

Add the cornstarch to a medium-sized bowl and then put the onion rings into this bowl. Make sure to coat all of them properly in the cornstarch.

To prepare the batter for the onion rings, take a medium-sized mixing bowl.
