  • 2 lb sugar

Instructions to Extract the Tart Cherry Juice at Home

The Tart cheery juice has two different methods of preparation. Boiling the cherries in water to get a more concentrated juice is one way while using the juicer to extract the juice is another way of doing it. I usually prefer the boiling method but it all depends upon your choice.

Preparing the Cherries

Bring the fresh cherries and wash them under the tap running water. Use the paper towel to pat dry them and then remove the stem from them. You do not need to pit the cherries.

Boiling the Cherries

Take a deep cooking pot and fill it with enough water. Bring the tart cherries and boil them in the hot water at medium heat. Let the cherries simmer in water for about twenty minutes.

Draining the Excess Water

Use a strainer to drain the juice in a separate container. Make sure to extract all of the juice from the mashed cherries as  Cranberry Orange relish. You can press them by using a spatula for this purpose.

Addition of Sweetener

Pour the extracted juice back into the container and add some sugar into this cooking pot. Boil the juice with sugar and wait for it to get melted. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved completely into the juice. After this simmering your juice is ready to serve.

Serving the Cherry Juice
