- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 8 oz Monterrey Jack Cheese
Method to Prepare the Texas Roadhouse Portobello Mushroom Chicken
Follow all the prep steps, then choose the most convenient method of cooking the chicken either, frying, baking, or air fryer. Prepare the mushroom gravy in the meantime. All these steps are essential to follow.
Preparing the Chicken
In the beginning, prepare the chicken by washing it off with fresh water. Use the paper towels to pat dry all the chicken breast pieces.
Seasoning the Chicken
They prepare a seasoning mix to coat the chicken with it. In a small mixing bowl add all the dry powders including the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika. Mix them well. Rub these spices on all sides of the chicken.
Cooking the Chicken
After marinating the chicken, you have to cook it. You can either air fryer the chicken for a more convenient method. But frying in a skillet is also possible. Make sure to use oil spray in case you prefer the air fryer method or simple olive oil for the skillet method.

After some time, add butter to the mushrooms at lowered heat and also add flour at the same time. Pour the vegetable stock into it and wait for it to get boiled. Make sure to thicken the mixture.
Baking the Chicken
Once the chicken is fried on the stovetop or in the air fryer, then you have to bake it. Put the chicken in the prepared baking pan to bake it. Make sure to line the baking pan with the parchment paper to avoid the burning or sticking of food to the bottom. Top the chicken piece with the cheese slices and grated cheese. Bale for 2-3 minutes only until the cheese melts.
Serving the Portobello Chicken
Put the chicken on the serving plate and then pour the gravy and mushroom mixture on the Portobello chicken. Serve the mushroom chicken while hot.
